Dior has revealed the second chapter of its Diorexquis high jewellery collection, designed by Victoire de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Joaillerie.
The new collection comprises 54 pieces and continues the “designer’s exploration of the house’s creative heritage”, a theme she has developed since launching Dior’s fine jewellery line in 1999.
The collection pays tribute to three motifs central to Christian Dior’s legacy: landscapes, floral bouquets and grand balls, reflecting the founder’s “fascination with nature, elegance and celebration”.
The collection incorporates traditional jewellery-making techniques, including the use of opal doublets and plique-à-jour enamel.
The works demonstrate varied craftsmanship in the use of gemstones, metalwork and enamel detailing, referencing seasonal changes in tone and composition.
Each design was produced in Dior’s Paris jewellery workshops under de Castellane’s direction.
Dior said: “An inexhaustible source of inspiration, Dior’s heritage continues to shine through in the House’s jewellery collections. This captivating odyssey has been celebrated by Victoire de Castellane since 1999. A virtuoso fusion highlighting the excellence of the Ateliers through the brilliance of gems and poetry of forms.”
