The renowned hospitality brand Aman has announced plans to extend its signature philosophy of tranquil exclusivity onto the Mediterranean Sea with Aman at Sea. Amangati, a new ocean-going vessel, is set to begin sailings in spring 2027.
The yacht’s name, derived from Sanskrit meaning “peaceful motion,” encapsulates Aman’s commitment to creating serene experiences even while traveling across open water.
The 180-meter yacht represents Aman’s entry into the luxury ocean cruising sector, joining brands like Four Seasons Yachts and Ritz-Carlton in bringing hotel-style hospitality to sea voyages. With capacity for just 94 guests across 47 suites, the yacht maintains the intimate scale that defines the Aman experience on land.
Amangati Accommodations and Design
Suite dimensions range from 68 square meters for the smallest accommodations to 354 square meters for the largest – sizes that rival or exceed many luxury hotel rooms. Every suite includes a private terrace, continuing Aman’s emphasis on personal outdoor space found at properties like Amansara and Amanyara.
The interior design draws from Japanese minimalist aesthetics, incorporating full-height windows and natural materials to create the serene atmosphere Aman properties are known for. Sinot, the acclaimed architecture firm, is the lead designer handling both exterior and interior concepts.
The spatial planning creates an atmosphere where guests feel the yacht belongs exclusively to them, despite sharing the vessel with others.

Wellness Facilities
The yacht’s wellness facilities occupy 1,190 square meters across two levels. The spa features eight treatment suites with ocean views and private terraces, plus traditional bathing experiences including hammam and banya facilities – similar to the comprehensive wellness offerings found on luxury expedition vessels.
A Japanese serenity garden crowns the spa level, while daily programming includes yoga, meditation sessions, and access to fitness studios equipped with current equipment.

Dining On Board
Dining options span four distinct restaurants: Alira for Mediterranean cuisine, Japanese restaurants Akari and Hiori, and Aman Grill. The Jazz Club provides evening entertainment, while in-suite dining operates around the clock.
Each venue follows seasonal menus emphasizing ingredient provenance and culinary tradition, with dishes drawing from regional specialties of whichever coastline the yacht is exploring.

Mediterranean Itineraries
Initial voyages will explore the Dalmatian Coast, Mediterranean Spain, and the French Riviera over five to eight nights. The yacht’s size allows access to smaller ports like Beaulieu-sur-Mer that larger cruise ships cannot reach.
Select sailings coincide with major cultural events including the Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix. One unique routing includes passage through Venice’s Grand Canal at sunset – a rare experience for a vessel of this size.
Itineraries favor late departures and overnight port stays, allowing deeper immersion in destinations rather than following conventional cruise schedules. Shore programming includes curated cultural, artistic and historical experiences tailored to each location.
Two helipads and six tenders facilitate shore access, with the Selora Marina equipped for water sports activities. Each guest receives service from a dedicated Suite Host throughout their voyage, ensuring personalized attention without intrusive formality.

Private Events and Charter Opportunities
Beyond scheduled voyages, Amangati is available for full-yacht charters and private events. The vessel serves as a floating venue for corporate gatherings, product launches, and celebrations, with particular appeal for events timed to Mediterranean sporting spectacles and cultural festivals. Charter clients can customize itineraries and programming entirely around their specific requirements.

Aman at Sea Bookings and Context
Reservations opened January 21, 2026, through the Aman at Sea website, phone (+1 754-345-2339), or email (info@amanatsea.com). European clients can contact EMEA reservations at +44 (20) 46283130.
The yacht launch extends Aman Group’s expansion beyond hospitality into lifestyle products including skincare, fragrances, and home furnishings. The company operates 35 properties globally and introduced the Janu hotel brand in 2024 as a more social alternative to Aman’s contemplative approach.
Amangati enters a growing ultra-luxury yachting segment that includes residential vessel Somnio and expedition-focused options like Scenic Eclipse, each offering different interpretations of high-end ocean travel.
