Loupe to acquire H. L. Brown flagship showroom in Sheffield

Loupe, part of Beaverbrooks group, is set to acquire H. L. Brown’s Sheffield flagship showroom at the end of June 2026. 

The 165-year-old business will continue to operate from its Doncaster location and through its online platform.

The acquisition marks the fourth boutique for Loupe, which also operates showrooms in Milton Keynes, Croydon, and Preston. 

The Sheffield site will close for refurbishment on 28 June and is scheduled to reopen in the summer as a Loupe boutique and official Rolex retailer.

Loupe will introduce its own collections of fine jewellery and diamonds to the showroom alongside its luxury watch portfolio. 

The Beaverbrooks Group, which has a 107-year history, stated the investment forms part of its ongoing expansion in the luxury sector.

The retailer is holding a sale with discounts of up to 40% at the Sheffield branch during May and June to mark the change in ownership.

L. Brown was founded in 1861 and also maintains sister brands Barbara Cattle in York and James Usher in Lincoln.

We know we’re leaving the showroom in good hands, and that the relationships we have built with our customers over the last four decades will continue.”
