Helen Dimmick appointed to BATF board

Helen Dimmick, director of Ainsworth Jewellers, has been appointed to the board of the British Allied Trades Federation (BATF), reinforcing the industry’s representation at a national level.

The appointment is recognition of Dimmick’s ongoing commitment to the industry and her role in fostering collaboration between organisations that represent businesses across the UK.

As co-director of independent jeweller Ainsworth Jewellers, Dimmick is regarded as one of the UK’s leading industry professionals, with expertise in consultancy, training and public speaking as well as her ability to combine an academic approach with decades of practical retail experience.

Beyond retail, Dimmick also mentors university students, delivers specialist training and education and provides expert commentary for media, committed to sharing knowledge that helps raise standards across the industry.

Throughout the course of her career, Dimmick has received prestigious honours including becoming a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, serving as a Guardian of the Sheffield Assay Office and, later this year, receiving the Freedom of the City of London.

On joining the BATF board, Dimmick said: “I’m pleased to represent the NAJ on the BATF Board, helping to ensure the needs of member associations remain at the heart of decision-making while promoting collaboration, shared values and strong standards across the federation.”
