Jewellery brand Thomas Sabo has announced the launch of its Hello Kitty collectable charm collection, combining nostalgia with the increasing demand for Japanese concept, kawaii and Y2K-inspired products.
The collection will include a range of charms, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings, with designs centred around Hello Kitty’s signature bow, three-dimensional designs, colourful details and zirconia embellishments. The charm collection is specifically designed to offer mix and match styling options, allowing customers to create personalised combinations.
The collaboration aims to combine the attraction of collectible jewellery with growing interest in nostalgic fashion trends in a way that brings together childhood memories with contemporary styling.
The collection will launch globally on 16 July 2026, with designs available through Thomas Sabo stores, its online platform and selected specialist retailers.
Hello Kitty will be the latest addition to the brand’s Charm Club collection, operating on a “collect and combine” ethos. The concept allows consumers to build their own jewellery across different collections, including Thomas Sabo x peanuts and themes inspired by Disney and tv show Wednesday.
Hello Kitty is a globally recognised kawaii character created by the Japanese company Sanrio in 1974, making her first appearance on a small coin purse in 1975. The character has transcended from being a symbol on children’s stationery to being marketed towards adults, expanding into jewellery, electronics and global collaborations.
