Dior has added 11 new pieces to its My Dior jewellery collection, expanding the line inspired by the house’s cannage motif.
The collection, designed by Dior jewellery artistic director Victoire de Castellane, includes a diamond-paved choker, a double ring worn across two fingers, a sculptural cuff, bracelets and a single earring.
The pieces are crafted in yellow and white gold, some featuring diamonds and turquoise lacquer.
De Castellane has made cannage, the crisscross pattern found on Napoleon III chairs used in Christian Dior’s couture shows since 1947, a signature element of her work.
She has adapted the motif into a braided gold design for the My Dior line, which was first conceived as a tribute to the brand’s heritage.
The new additions were created through a series of hand-assembled steps, with a polished gold ribbon incorporated beneath the mesh pattern to highlight the contrast between materials.
Dior said the line reflected both Parisian couture influences and the craftsmanship of its jewellery workshops.
