Gemporia marks 21 years with employee-owned milestone and live events


Employee-owned jewellery specialist Gemporia is marking its 21st anniversary with a series of live broadcasts and online events celebrating more than two decades in the gemstone trade.

Founded in 2004 as a family-run jewellery channel, Gemporia has grown into a global retailer known for its ethically sourced and handcrafted gemstone designs. The company is hosting anniversary programming on its shopping channel and website until 26 October, featuring special offers, guest appearances from gem experts, and collections tracing its sourcing history.

Over the past two decades, Gemporia has introduced several rare stones to the UK market, including Australian opal after a two-year sourcing effort, Turkish Csarite, and the Wobito Snowflake Cut.

Group managing director Scott Stone said: “Turning 21 is a remarkable achievement for any business. To reach this milestone as an employee-owned company is something we’re incredibly proud of. Our birthday celebrations are our way of thanking our loyal customers and showcasing the craftsmanship and passion behind each piece.”

He added: “Looking ahead, I’m excited about shaping a Gemporia that’s more focused and collaborative than ever – working with experts across the globe to bring our passion for genuine gemstones to life.”

Gemporia became a majority employee-owned business in recent years and continues to emphasise transparency and sustainability in its sourcing. The company says its goal is to offer “jewellery with integrity” that reflects both the natural origin of its materials and the craftsmanship of its makers.

Based in the West Midlands, Gemporia trades to an international customer base and maintains that all pieces are designed to celebrate the authenticity and rarity of natural gemstones.
