Ottoman Hands expands to US with three retail partners


British brand Ottoman Hands has announced that it is expanding into the US after striking agreements with Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s.

The brand launched in Nordstrom on Monday 11 August at Nordstrom, followed by Bloomingdale’s on Tuesday 12 August, with Macy’s to follow soon.

Ottoman Hands collections have been featured in the British Museum and appeared on TV series like Emily in Paris, and now the upcoming Devil Wears Prada 2 movie.

Founder Deniz Gurdal said: “I am very excited and proud to have launched Ottoman Hands in the US with Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, and Macy’s, bringing our designs to these iconic retailers is a dream come true and a truly humbling experience. This milestone is the result of 15-years of relentless work and passion.

“Ottoman Hands began in 2010, selling handmade jewellery inspired by my Turkish heritage from a stall on Portobello Road. Every piece has been a labour of love, crafted in small batches, and often in partnership with the same artisans I met at the very start of this journey.”

She added: “These retailers set the benchmark for excellence in the US market, known for championing emerging brands and offering customers quality with heritage. These stores are not just retail destinations but cultural icons, trusted by generations of shoppers for discovering new and unique brands.

“It’s incredibly meaningful to bring our craftsmanship and values—like our commitment to sustainability and female empowerment -to such respected partners. Tapping into the US market is both an emotional and strategic leap: for an independent, female-founded brand like Ottoman Hands, it’s a chance to inspire a wider audience and connect with jewellery lovers from different continents seeking authenticity and jewellery that tells a story.”

The brand was founded in 2010 selling handmade jewellery on a stall at Portobello Road Market in London.
