The Betts Group has launched its Modern Court wedding band range for Spring 2026, utilising traceable gold alloys and expanding its portfolio to include 14ct gold.
The Birmingham-based specialist has developed the Modern Court profile with an enhanced internal curve designed for ergonomic fit.
Central to the launch is the use of “full provenance” alloys, which combine Single Mine Origin (SMO) gold with AgAIN silver, a metal recycled from medical X-ray waste.
This material combination is intended to provide independent retailers with verified supply chain data to address consumer demand for transparency and sustainability in the bridal market.
The addition of 14ct white and yellow gold alloys to the collection is intended to provide a mid-tier price point between 9ct and 18ct options.
This expansion aims to assist retailers in managing price sensitivity caused by fluctuations in global gold prices.
The Betts Group remains the only UK refinery certified for Fairtrade and Fairmined metals, supported by its status as a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
Manufacturing of the rings takes place in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, where the firm operates segregated refining capabilities.
The company is positioning these new alloys and profiles as a differentiator for independent businesses competing in the high-street jewellery sector.
Charlie Betts, managing director of The Betts Group, said: “Wedding rings are an essential foundation for most high street jewellery businesses. As we developed the shape of the Modern Court, it became clear that our wedding ring offering could be elevated with a commitment to diverse alloys, guaranteed provenance and full traceability. The Betts Group will give independent retailers access to wedding rings with a point of differentiation for consumers.”
David Fletcher, head of business development for bridal, added: “This launch reflects how the wedding ring category is evolving. Couples are looking for rings that feel comfortable to wear, are made from materials they can trust, and offer clear choices when it comes to gold. By bringing together the Modern Court profile and 14ct gold, we’ve created a collection that supports customer choice and retail conversations.”
