Jewellery brand Thomas Sabo is set to release its Tokyo Crush collection on 19 March 2026, featuring designs inspired by Japanese heritage and modern Harajuku street fashion.
The collection includes charms crafted from recycled 925 sterling silver, with some pieces featuring 18k gold plating.
The motifs are divided between traditional cultural symbols and kawaii pop culture aesthetics.
Traditional designs in the range include the koi carp, representing perseverance, and the sakura blossom, signifying the beginning of spring.
Other cultural references include the torii gate, bonsai trees, and traditional teapots.
The modern portion of the collection focuses on Tokyo’s Harajuku district, featuring heart-shaped sunglasses, handbags, and lip gloss motifs.
These designs are intended to reflect the kawaii cultural phenomenon and contemporary street fashion.
Founded in 1984, Thomas Sabo operates in more than 70 countries. The Tokyo Crush collection will be available through the brand’s own retail stores, its global online shop, and selected third-party retailers.
Thomas Sabo said: “The collection creates a dialogue between centuries-old symbolism and modern street attitude. Kawaii is far more than a trend, it is a cultural phenomenon that redefines cuteness as a statement of strength and self-determination.”
