Goldsmiths’ Centre launches ‘Shine’ training programme for 2026


The Goldsmiths’ Centre has selected 13 emerging jewellers and goldsmiths for its Shine 2026 programme, providing training and support to enable them to develop their businesses and launch new collections.

Shine 2026 is intended to help designers move beyond the creation of jewellery pieces alone, by providing the commercial knowledge, practical skills and industry networks they need to adapt and grow their business.

The programme is offered free of charge, and will publicly launch on 16 September 2026. It will conclude with an event at The Goldsmiths’ Centre near Farringdon station, where collectors and design enthusiasts will meet the participants and be provided the opportunity to purchase directly from some of the jewellery and silversmithing newcomers in the UK.

Participants for this cohort include Amber Cooper, Annie Higgins, Beth Chesser of LEVEE Jewellery, Ella Bonomi, Epona Smith, Helen Dugdale, Helena Palmeira, Jade Mellor, Liu Yang, Mark Eames, Matilde Mozzanega of Matilde Mozzanega Jewellery, Militsa Milenkova and Rachael Plassard.

Previous participants have gone on to secure opportunities across the sector, including selection for the Goldsmiths’ Fair Emerging Business Bursary and recognition from leading galleries, retailers and industry professionals.

Charlotte Dew, head of public programmes at the Goldsmiths’ Centre, said: “Making exceptional jewellery or silverware is only one part of building a successful creative business. Shine gives emerging makers the practical skills, confidence and visibility they need to launch new collections, connect with customers and build sustainable careers. It is particularly rewarding to see participants grow not only as designers but also as business owners ready to take their work to market.”
