Nineteen48 streamlines gemstone sourcing with new trade website

Ethical gemstone supplier Nineteen48 has launched a new website, intended to make gemstone sourcing more accessible to jewellers and jewellery professionals.

The company said the website allows users to search gemstones by source and verify a stone’s provenance, reflecting its commitment to transparency.

Designed by Emerald Studio Creative, the new website has been developed to help users find the right gemstone more efficiently. The website allows customers to search and filter by gemstone type, colour, shape, size and budget, making it easier to find stones for specific designs.

Emma Perry, creative at Emerald Studio, said: “The website was built with jewellers in mind. Our aim was to create a platform that’s intuitive to use, with powerful search and filtering tools that reflect how jewellers actually source gemstones.

“At the same time, we wanted every gemstone to tell its story by providing clear, detailed information that helps users browse and buy with confidence.”

The launch allows jewellers to apply for a trade discount, providing access to trade prices and the ability to receive stones on approval. The website also allows visitors to request high-resolution photos and videos of gems to share with clients.

The website also features selected stones from partners including Capricorn Gems, Moyo Gems and Fair Trade Gemstones, expanding the range available to UK jewellery businesses.
